Unpredictable, entertaining, informative; since November 2005 the Top Five column has provided Melbourne'sThe Age readers with tips about where to find the tastiest morsels in town. It has shared culinary secrets, too, such as where chef's buy their knives, what goes best with black rice and what to do with Fleur Selde Guerande (the caviar of salts).
Chapters include the Top 5 meat pies, latte artists, bookshop cafes, neighbourhood bars, degustation experience and many more!
Past and present Top Five contributors continue to scour Melbourne, using good taste and a sense of adventure as their guide. They do the leg-work so that you don't have to.
